I enjoyed reading this well writen book (received as a gift) and have purchased gift copies for friends who may take the web's existence for granted and for a computer science major, who seemed naive about the many participants in its development. The author cleverly provides options for reading its chapters, which I found useful. I read it straight through, and then read it again following a different pathway. Both were stimulating.
