We love love love this book in our house! It’s a Star Wars version of Where’s Waldo. My 4 year old “reads” this every night before bed. There are a bunch of different characters hidden on each page (Chewbacca, Millennium Falcon, Greedo, etc.) The different lands from Star Wars are the locations on each page. Some characters are easy to find and others are hidden really well. It’s a super fun book!

The drawings in this book are fine. It's like a discount "Where's Waldo". Unfortunately, that discount is felt throughout the book. The quality of the artwork is OK, but nothing special. It doesn't have the charm that the core 4 Waldo books have. The pages are small. Not smaller than a typically sized book, but if you are used to those Waldo sized pages, then you should expect something considerably smaller. Given it's small size though, it might fit on your coffee table or bookshelf better than the over-sized Waldo books.The biggest issue I have is with the binding (see screenshot). The included picture is of a brand new edition of the book. That's going to last a few reads as an adult who has been forewarned, but give that to a child and this book will turn into a series of leaflets. Perfect gift for someone else's kids who you don't know well. Avoid for your own children and get them Waldo instead.

Got this for my son for Valentine's day. It's adorable and well made. Only downside is that it took forever to come in the mail and I ended up having to give it to him after Valentine's. So keep that in mind when ordering.

Our family loves Star Wars and especially Chewbacca. We got this book for a gift exchange for our daughter at school. All of the kids were jealous of the child that received it. I looked through it before wrapping and it's really well done. I've now ordered another for our own kids.

We're a Star Wars family and I thought this would be fun for us. It was a total hit! My kiddos are 5 and 8, we all love to sit and look at this over and over.

My son is obsessed with this book! My only complaint is that the characters you have to find are only printed on the first page, so you kind of have to flip back and forth at first. Once you know the characters you are looking for it's easy.

My sons love this series of books. It keeps them occupied for quite a while! Hard enough to keep them interested but not so hard they get frustrated. Easy enough foor my 4yo

Love this book, gift for my son for Christmas. He will love it. It is a beautiful hardback book with many colorful pages of Where's the Wookiee? to find. Love it. Highly recommend.

Ben Hogan discovered golf as a fifteen-year-old caddie. He turned pro at seventeen, joined the tour full-time as a nineteen-year-old in 1931, and has won nine pro majors. A four-time PGA Player of the Year, he is one of only four golfers to win all four professional majors. At forty-one, he won five of six tournaments, including the Masters, U.S. Open and the British Open. Hogan died at eighty-four in 1997 in his home in Fort Worth.

With the utmost respect to Ben Hogan, I found this book to be interesting but I didn't gain as much from it as I did from Harvey Penick's Little Red Book. One of the main reasons is that the book is rather dry and wordy/confusing at times. The artwork was a fantastic aid in understanding the lessons, but I often found myself re-reading the section to understand what he was talking about. Some of the lessons would introduce an advanced aspect right towards the conclusion of the chapter. I often had to go online and do a search to see if someone else could explain it better, such as supination of the wrist at impact.While Harvey's Little Red Book didn't have artwork or diagrams, I could understand his teachings and his anecdotes were interesting. I just felt Five Lessons was very dry.Overall: 3/5 stars. Not as mandatory as the Little Red Book.

Hogan's book is a short, but comprehensive analysis of the golf swing. His stated purpose of giving the average weekend golfer the tools to develop a repeatable golf swing has, in my opinion, been met. The fundamentals he espouses are few, and simple enough to implement without causing one to overthink. I found his views about grip and stance, and their importance in setting up the rest of the swing, particularly helpful. If you're a student of the game, this book is a prerequisite before reading the multitude of expert analyses of Hogan's swing that are available elsewhere. The advanced golfer interested in developing his/her knowledge of shaping shots and ball flight won't find information here. But if you're like me and want to develop better consistency of contact with all your clubs and eliminate anxiety as you stand over the ball, then this book is for you.

I'm a novice golfer that has been away for the sport for several years. Getting back into it I wanted to find a resource that took a simple and direct approach to the golf swing. I think I have found it. In a sea of technology, social media marketing and five steps programs to driving the ball 300+ yards, this book gets right down to business and what the golf swing is really all about. If you take the teachings and then go online and see the many slow motion videos of Mr. Hogan's swing, then you can really see how it all comes together. And the illustrations in the book are very effective and well done too. I'm a visual learner, so that was important to me. Lastly, I'll say that I love the way this book is written. Somehow it seems to give you a sense not just about the swing, but about the man behind perhaps the most beautiful swing in golf history. Very beautifully executed book.

Combating a little a stationary small ball with a stick for the purpose of sinking it in a hole 400 yards away with hazards to avoid on the way is a fascinating concept of a game to anyone beside golfers. Hogan went through how he mastered, if there is such a thing as he puts it, the game over decades of learning, practicing, and improving. Before I took golf at a later age I calculated how many strokes of 7 iron I need to do a 6000 yard course. The answer of course is 40 shots. I doubled that for putts and goofs which makes it 80. I thought there isn't much to master that game and it has been my daily challenge for 20 years. The book shows 8 specific motions to do that. Success is not guaranteed though. Very enjoyable reading.

This book is all any starting novice golfer will need for proper instructions on full swing. For short game, I will recommend Getting Up And Down by Tom Watson. I found numerous videos for tips available in Youtube largely useless or misleading especially for the novice. To learn powerful and repeatable full swing, this book is best because it explains all the steps from the grip to downswing as one coherent system that is what Mr. Hogan refers to as chain actions. Having said that, this book elicits some questions, as well. For example, though Mr. Hogan devoted Chapter 2 to stance and posture, unexplicably he does not talk about address. In two other equally great books, Getting Up And Down by Tom Watson and Golf My Way by Jack Nicklaus, the authors emphasize address should reflect so called hitting geometry in which the hands are ahead of the ball location. The reader of this book can only guess what Mr. Hogan's thought should be on proper address from one of the illustrations in the book, where remarkably to me at least, the club is held almost perfectlly vertical (pg. 24)! I can also see the same vertical address in numerous videos of him. Another example is the position of the grip at the top of backswing that he aptly refers to as the crossroad. He emphasizes in this book the left arm and grip should stay in the backswing plane which is defined by the shoulders and the ball location. This is a point I found very useful and follow. However, it is widely known that his grip at the crossroad was far below this plane and, as a matter of fact, one of the flattest of all PGA pros according to Jack Nicklaus. I wonder therefore whether his emphasis on supination (rotation of the hands/wrists in the hitting area) is a way to compensate for his low top position. The starting golfers should not mind this point and instead should focus on his teaching to stay on the backswing plane and that will work nicely. All in all, I have no doubt this is the first book any starting golfers should read and refer to whenever they have questions when they practice full swing. They will benefit immeasurably.

Played golf on and off for years with my game never improving, even with lessons. Frustration led me to this book that I selected based on its high ratings. In his book, Ben Hogan offers simple lessons of how to hold a club, the proper stance, back swing, and downswing. The lessons have significantly improved my game with me hitting good, straight shots. The distances for each club have increased twenty percent. The book may have been written in the fifties, but the lessons are timeless.

I wanted to read this to get in touch with what my grandson was studying in school. This is written on about a 4th grade level but introduces the "flashback" method of providing some history with present day experiences.

I remember loving this book when I was in college as an education major. The characters are well written and I love the way the story transports between the present and the past. I have been saving it to read with my dinosaur fanatic kids. I reread it before sharing it with them and realized there is no way they would enjoy reading it because the science is so wrong. Not only have there never been any dinosaur fossils found in Nebraska (something my kids could have overlooked since there are always discoveries being made) the way the fossils were found and the way they were preserved is not even close to real. If it was a mammoth, the science is possible. But dinosaur bones are not found in mud, they are preserved in rocks.I realize many people wouldn't care about the science being wrong, but for my kids, it was a deal breaker.

Already loved this book, but my students checked my only copy out and never returned it. Had to get another. It has a wonderful story, so well written by Pam Conrad. It has so much love, and I already know where the heartbreak is going to be, and I cry anyway! I recommend it to anyone that loves reading, whether a child or not. It is fabulous.

The book was in very good condition when we received it, and my son enjoyed it very much.

Do not mistake this for a "childish" deck because of its name. There is some real meat here for adults. Have been pairing this with the Raven's Prophecy tarot each morning and they are a beautiful match and completely in sync. The pictures in this deck are gentle but the messages and the guidebook text are designed to get you to think about what you are going to do each day to make the world a place you want to live in and yourself the best person you can be to live in that world. If you want motivation, thought provoking suggestions for things to do and a gentle kick in the pants to get you to do it, this is the deck for you and your children.

As my title states, we do not believe [in ANY] higher power. Not all of my review centers around belief though, so I will get to that first.The set (in my opinion) is not worth $15. It is a small deck with a tiny refrence book in a borderline too small box. Mind you the cards & box are fairly sturdy. I'm not sure about the durability of the book though. You actually have to refrence the book after drawing a card because the cards only have the (few words) statement on its face. I found the wording in the book to be too minimal & vague. For me, the book is useless. The cards are cute, I will give then that, but there aren't many.For those (if you even exist) who are like me:We love nature & animals & I thought this set would be fun to use as a tool to start conversations about thoughts, feelings & life in general with my 9y/o. Perhaps I am just misinformed, but I did not expect there to be any refrences to God in this set. I thought people who believed in God did not believe in something tarot like, but God is mentioned throughout the book. I can explain away "spirit animals" as just something fun like pretending Santa is real [and yes, my child is (newly) aware of the truth behind Christmas magic]. It is my own fault for not considering that all the positive reviews were from people who believe in spirits & or a higher power. It would have been helpful if there were reviews from people like myself who purchased them for fun & that is part of why I am sharing my opinion.

These cards are beautiful! We love the illustrations and the little book that comes with for further explanation and activities. We bought these as a gift for our three year old son. Every morning we pick a card of the day and he loves it!

A beautiful, gentle guide for children. My son is 10 and uses these often. If you use tarot or oracle decks and want to incorporate this into your childrens lives, I would start here. There is a little chapter for parents in the guide book and I believe some suggestions for helping your child with the cards but other than that the cards and the book are geared toward children and the guide book is written in a language that is easy to understand. The illustrations are wonderful and the messages uplifting. A great way to help children connect to the world around them.

We start our mornings out picking a card and reading the advice from the animals. I share things about my life that I may have experienced relating to the animal's lessons and it also opens the door to discussing things my son may be having trouble with. The illustrations are beautiful and I love having them displayed on our dining room table. We revisit the animals lessons at each meal. We really love these because they add such a beautiful focus to our day and I'm planning to give them as gifts to my friends with kids.

This is a great deck for children. I got it to give to my granddaughter, who likes giving me tarot readings (even though she's only 8). The artwork is very good--just right for children (I really like it). Many of the animals are baby animals or young animals. The Beaver card says "Do your chores." The Elephant says, "You can overcome any problem." The Lion - "Ask for what you want." The Ladybug - Notice the little things.The little book is wonderful. After discussing the animal, it has an activity (or activities) for the child to do, i.e. Do a secret favor for one of your friends at school, and when they notice it, don't tell them you did it. I think this is a wonderful deck for any child, and I can't wait to give it to my granddaughter!

I gave these to my 12 year old granddaughter to help her during her parent's court battles over custody. She used the cards to help her stay focused on each day and not get drawn into their emotional stuff.She said they really helped her. She loves animals and they were able to help her make a connection to her inner self.

Bought these for my niece's 6th birthday - she's just starting to show interest in paganism (both of her parents are pagan), so I thought these would be a good introduction to both the concept of spirit animals and to more complex card oracles. My sister tells me that my niece will now come to her randomly and ask to "play the spirit card game". So they're clearly a winner.

The writer mentions killing an animal for its pretty coat: I, and many others, I hope, believe that an animal needs her pretty coat more than any person does. The author also describes a paternalistic, maternalistic outlook on the natives; yet a native servant is beaten to death for the sin of having ridden, rather than walked, a horse home. This kind of behavior undoubtedly helped cause the bloodthirsty largely Kikuyu-dominated 1952-1960 Mau Mau insurrection in Kenya, which was aimed at white settlers and farmers, ended only with the designation of Kenya as a member of the British Commonwealth, not as a colony. But, of course, the past is past, and cannot be changed.Ah, and the writer also says, “On the Western wall of my house there was a stone seat and in front of it a table made out of a mill-stone. This stone had a tragic history: it was the upper millstone of the mill of the two murdered Indians. After the murder nobody dared to take over the mill, it was empty and silent for a long time, and I had the stone brought up to my house to form a table top, to remind me of Denmark. The Indian millers had told me that their mill-stone had come over the Sea from Bombay, as the stones of Africa are not hard enough for the work of grinding. On the top side a pattern was carved, and it had a few large brown spots on it, which my houseboys held to be the blood of the Indians, that would never come off. The millstone table in a way constituted the centre of the farm, for I used to sit behind it in all my dealings with the Natives. From the stone seat behind the mill-stone, I and Denys Finch- Hatton had one New Year seen the new moon and the planets of Venus and Jupiter all close together, in a group on the sky; it was such a radiant sight that you could hardly believe it to be real….”On my recent trip to Kenya, I got to sit on the stone seat behind the millstone table: see the attached picture. A very proud moment for me. This is not a perfect book, but it’s a must read.

As someone currently living in Africa and who just took a vacation to Kenya, this was a wonderful read. While the second part is a little harder to get through because it is episodic, I enjoyed the richness of Blixen's language, and her understanding of Africa. She understood the people she lived and worked with, and her appreciation of their culture shines through her writing. Reading this after having seen her house was a real treat; I could imagine Karen walking through each room and looking out towards her beloved hills. If you love Africa, this is a gripping read that you should make time for at some point in your life.

There are readers who may not care for this book. Don't look for a recap of the film. It's what I've come to expect when films are based on popular books. This version of Out of Africa is THE original tale of the author who lived the life. Out of Africa "the movie" was outstanding, but did not accurately depict Karen Blixen's life in Africa. We've seen movies that are "never as good as the book". It's disappointing. Sometimes the film can be better than the book. It rarely happens. I saw "Out of Africa" prior to reading the book; beautifully authored by, Isak Dinesen, a gifted story teller. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys well written stories.

A trip to Kenya is incomplete without reading this book. Her descriptions are honest and delightful and give so much insight into the character of the land I would be lost without it. Her observations on the Kikuyu people hold as true today as they did then. Loved it! I came across his show vzroslim-o-vzroslix by chance and am so happy for that! Reading the book has opened up my eyes as to why I am the way I am. I loved the best the idea of suffering as a national pass-time and how that is integrated in a Soviet psychology. Anyway, it's a good way to start understanding yourself better and deciding how to love yourself as well. Mixail-prosto molodec!

I bought this book in Russia, and the printing quality of it was way better. It is original, but this one sucks because it is like they just printed from word and didn't even check it. At some pages, you are reading a sentence and when you go to the next page to finish this sentence - totally different sentence is starting. Also, the way they put the pictures really confusing.I read the originally printed version and it is like twice thicker. Otherwise, the content of the book is interesting (I read the original printing, this one I bought as a gift and it sucks), but at some points you need to turn on your critical thinking!

Book for Juish fussy and neurotic people. I got for my friends whom ran by anxiety . It is really work to calm dawned without pills.
