This devotional was not at all what I was expecting. Honestly, I found it rather annoying lol. I was looking for a devotional that focused on the internal and this book focuses more on the external. I feel like it's more about Donna Partow's philosophies on how a woman should live her life rather than any scripture based truths. Some parts even come off a little on the shallow side. I mean if you can stay one size your whole life and buy expensive clothes in (only) your "core color", great! But that's just not a realistic or appealing idea to every woman. It doesn't take into account a woman's individuality. God did not make us to be cookie cutters. This reads more like a self help book than a devotional. And if that's what you're looking for, you may like it. There are snippets of good advice here and there, but overall, just not for me.

This book starts out great. It begins firmly rooted in scripture. I loved this book the first several days. However, towards the middle of the book she gets very offtrack and opinionated. She talks about how women need to find their color and only wear that color, many “organization tips”, how you should weigh a certain weight, how you should eat and drink only water and vegetables for 10 days, how women can earn extra income selling Mary Kay and working from home, to purchase rental properties and investments. It felt more like I was reading her personal opinions with some scripture she tried to make support her opinions. I do not recommend this book.

Although I haven't finished my study yet, I am enjoying it once I got past the first hurdle of listing unique qualities I have. I'm not good with affirmation of self, so that was a hard one for me. I do like very much where this study is going thus far. I really like the TAG=Time Alone with God information.I would definitely recommend it.

The content of this book is exceptional! It really is life changing! I gave a 4 star because pages 1-10 fell apart after only a few days! The book says to carry it around with you everywhere you go for the next 90 days so I’d expect it to be a better quality grade book.

Every woman should do this study and discover your full potential as a woman of God. Don't rush through it, but meditate your way through it, so that it becomes a part of you, and you will love the New You.

This is a great devotional! I really enjoyed the process suggested in the book. It is not just a devotion you read and are done for the day; it has instructions to get the most out of your time with the Lord. I will definitely go back to repeat my experience in the future!

I ordered this book and it is terrible. There is another book by the same title, which is 1000 time better. I believe that the 5 star reviews are all false. They seem to be written by the same person. Most of the techniques in the book are the obvious ones that people already know about. I am going to try to report this book to Amazon, I think there is some fraud going on here. Try the book by Benjamin and Shermer if you really want to learn mental math.

This book will help anybody to deal with numbers, no matter if beginner or even passionated mathematician. It covers all the general mathematic operations from additions, subtractions over multiplications and divisions. You get great tips to calculate smaller but even also more complex numbers! On top of that you get several more tricks to solve comlpex calculations with your brain within seconds! Besides it gives useful insights on how to better memorize numbers. All in all i highly recommend this book, because it gives a lot of really easily applicable tips and tricks to better and faster deal with mathematical problems and transports the messages in an entertaining way!

If you are in a sociology, anthropology, or enlightened criminology department, you will benefit from this book. The book is admittedly a bit dated but the principles are timeless. The text is organized in a way that makes the text relevant to the causal reader and the scholar who is putting chapters together for their dissertation. Lots of material in here could be quoted and placed directly in "Methods" and "Limitations" section of your own manuscripts. Can you tell that I really like this book?

What is especially valuable is the way that Weiss helps describe the larger philosophical commitments that relate to interviewing as a type of qualitative research. If you are interested in qualitative research or interviewing, this book is essential. Its easy to read and understand.

Weiss's book mirrors the combination of seemingly unforced flow and attention to focus that are characteristic of good qualitative interviews. I appreciated that it tackled delicate questions of ethics, editing and developing analysis in a way that bolstered the reader's confidence in their ability to develop good judgment, while never minimizing the risks. The use of excerpts of transcripts showing exactly where interviewers' decisions had affected outcomes, and of specific examples throughout, made this book a compulsive "read" -- I wish that more authoratitive publications managed its grace and energy.

This is a good book for anyone who is new at conducting interviews. It discusses the benefits of different ways to interview (structured, semi-structured) and other tips on interviewing. When I started interviewing, all I could think about was what I learned from this book.

If you're a fan of Paula Deen's cookbooks, then this one isn't for you. Note to GRITS: this means you too. The first recipe contained something called "burrata". Was it a vegetable,fruit,meat? The picture didn't help,but Google did. I knew then this cookbook wasn't going onto my shelf of favorites. A handful of the recipes sound doable and edible, worthy of the time and cost to prepare. Book should be in the nonfiction category for family drama with a few recipes thrown in for good measure. Best suggestion---check it out from your local library before buying.

I’m a recipe and food network junkie. I love to cook and bake and always looking for something great and unique. This cookbook did not disappoint. There are so many great items in the book I cannot wait to make them for family and friends. I cannot stress enough how many unique items are in this book. Loaded with great recipes. This cookbook was such a welcomed surprise when it arrived, I had forgotten I had preordered it months ago. Full of beautiful family photographs, hilarious anecdotes, and homey recipes, this cookbook truly is a “happy” cookbook as the love and devotion this sweet family has for one another eminates from every page. I LOVE IT!! I received my book yesterday and immediately sat down to go through the recipes. What memories of food I have loved over the years that I used to make and from my Mother as well. Long lost recipes are here in this book. The comments on the recipes and stories are wonderful. Kathy does the same thing I always did, adjusts recipes to the tastes of my family while following the basic recipe. I was thrilled to see Brian's Mom's Meatballs. So similar to the ones I always made and since my family has long scattered, I had forgotten the recipe. I'm inspired...

I found this a touch more advanced than I hoped but HEY, I guess I was looking for a coloring book format. Now I have been challenged to "up my drawing game" with the truly delightful instruction by Mr. West. I can recommend this book for artists as beginners to drawing plants because of the technique that will bring you to a class of professionalism we often strive for but fail to find in the market on a specific topic.

I borrowed this book from my library and found it so useful that I had to purchase a copy for my personal collection. It is a wonderful primer for anyone wanting to learn the basics of plant illustration, or just wanting to hone their skills. I highly recommend it.

Brand new and in perfect shape!

This is a fabulous book that is both botany lesson and botanical illustrations lesson. It's a little technical but very exacting in the details of plants so you see all of the parts of the plant down to the hairs along the stems. Being a biology major and having done a course in botany I recognize superbly rendered illustrations and Keith West is top of the class. I would highly recommend this book to any student who wants to improve their drawings (and raise their grade), and to anyone who would love to draw beautiful botanical illustrations. Mr. West's lessons on techniques, shading, layout and so much more, transends the art of "botany" and will vastly improve all of your drawings on any subject.
